1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in goalkeeper training involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, falls, collisions, or other injuries.
I voluntarily choose to participate (or allow my child to participate) in training sessions provided by Merco GK, knowing and accepting all risks associated with physical training activities.
2. Release of Liability (Virginia Law Acknowledgment)
To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Merco GK, its coach, and any associated parties from any and all claims, demands, actions, or liabilities arising out of participation in training sessions, including those resulting from ordinary negligence.
This release does not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct, as prohibited by Virginia law.
3. Medical Responsibility
I confirm that the participant is physically fit and medically able to participate in goalkeeper training activities.
I agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions or injuries prior to participation.
I understand that Merco GK does not provide medical advice or medical treatment.
4. Code of Conduct
I understand that all participants are expected to behave respectfully toward the coach, other players, parents, and facilities.
Merco GK reserves the right to refuse or discontinue training services for behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful, without obligation to provide a refund.
5. Scheduling & Program Validity
I understand that training sessions are scheduled directly with the coach based on availability and mutual agreement.
All purchased training sessions must be completed within two (2) months of the purchase date, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Missed sessions without proper notice may be forfeited.
6. Photo & Video Release
I understand that training sessions may be recorded or photographed for coaching, educational, and promotional purposes.
I grant Merco GK permission to use photos and video recordings of the participant for training analysis, internal use, marketing, social media, and educational content, without compensation.
If I do not wish for recordings to be used publicly, I understand that I must notify the coach in advance.
7. Refund Policy
All training programs and sessions are non-refundable once purchased.
Refunds will not be provided for unused sessions, missed sessions, or scheduling conflicts.
In rare circumstances such as long-term injury or medical inability to continue training, Merco GK may, at its sole discretion, offer a credit toward future training.
No cash refunds will be issued.
8. Acknowledgment & Agreement
By purchasing a Merco GK training program or participating in training sessions, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this Liability Waiver, Code of Conduct, and Refund Policy.
I understand that this agreement is binding under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
